When are elections held?

The election date is not readily available to staff at the office. This is because only the sitting Prime Minister can decide the date of elections on the advice of the Governor General. 

Why do I have to wait 2 months for a voter's I.D.?

Registration is a constitutional process and thus the wait time is not decided by the office. 

What is the process for obtaining a voter's I.D.?

The registrant must be over the age of 18. Persons born in the Federation must present a valid I.D which shows their place of birth, namely a Driver’s License, Social Security Card, Passport or Birth Certificate. 

Can I apply / renew an I.D. online?

At present we do not have a platform that allows people to register or renew a voter’s ID online. 

Do I have to be present to apply for an I.D. in person?

Anyone wishing to apply for a voters Registration Card must be present to register an ID.
